Hello lovelies!
It's that time again... Digit-al Dozen's Birthday Mani Time!
Since it's my own birthday month, I had a say in what would be our inspiration picture. Wasn't a difficult choice this time. Tamara suggested this picture and everyone was immediately enthusiastic!
I figured for this I just start somewhere, so I painted my nails with one coat of Colores de Carol "Mademoiselle". It is no longer visible, but created the perfect base for the gradient sky, which consists of Incidental Twin "Big God", Native War Paints "Gum would be perfection" and Adopt "Purple Addict". I then took hēhē 99 and reverse stamped some mountains, using Essence "Lagoona Beach" and some other grey and black that I mixed together into various shades. I freehanded the mountains' lower parts, to elongate them across my nail and painted strokes of different shades to give them more depth. I then took hēhē 101 to stamp on the trees. I decided to leave out the tents, because I saw that becoming messy, so instead I stamped on some birds in flight. I sealed it in with two coats of SV (all the layered stamping and sponging made it bumpy).
#sorrynotsorry, but I'm super proud of this mani! I enjoy wearing it a lot, have been for three days! Staring at this view on my nails really calmed me down when I got frustrated with work (I was struggling with some buggy software).
Have a look at the other ladies' manis below; I'm super curious to see how they interpreted the picture!
